Benjamin Richardson, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Scientist/Engineer in Cell Culture Process Development at Genentech since September 2025. Prior to this role, Benjamin held various positions at UPSIDE Foods from June 2021 to September 2025, including Scientist II and Scientist I in Cell Culture Media Development. Benjamin also contributed to the Tufts University Center for Cellular Agriculture (TUCCA) as a representative and chair of an industry consortium from September 2023 to September 2025. As a co-founder of The Boulder Alt. Protein Project from January 2020 to May 2021, Benjamin was instrumental in advancing cellular agriculture. His academic background includes a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where studies emphasized Tissue Engineering, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
