Davide Musmeci

Davide Musmeci has over 14 years of work experience in various roles in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Davide'smost recent position is as the Head of Project Management at GeneQuine Biotherapeutics, where they oversee the transition of gene therapy drug candidates from pre-clinical development to Phase I clinical trials. In this role, they are responsible for coordinating CRO selection and qualification, as well as protocol redaction, data analysis, and reporting for PD & PK studies. Prior to this, Davide worked as a Project Manager at GeneQuine Biotherapeutics, managing the development of the GQ-303 program from pre-clinical to clinical stage.

Before joining GeneQuine Biotherapeutics, Davide worked as a Biologics Project Manager at Eurogentec from 2016 to 2020. Davide also served as a Clinical Study Manager and Team Leader at BONE THERAPEUTICS S.A. from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Clinical Project Manager at EORTC from 2013 to 2015.

Davide began their career at INC Research as a Central Monitoring Associate, where they were responsible for remote monitoring and site management of clinical research studies. Davide also worked as a PhD student at the Metastasis Research Laboratory - Ulg and Pisa University (IT), focusing on their research in the field.

Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology at the Università degli Studi di Palermo from 2001 to 2006. Continuing their studies, Davide obtained a PhD in Molecular and Experimental Cancerology from the University of Pisa, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. Alongside their studies in Pisa, they also pursued a second PhD in Biopharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Liège, completing it from 2008 to 2010.
