Dan Chandler

Chief Operating Officer, Engineering Services at Gener8

Dan Chandler began his career as a research scientist designing novel polymers and electronic materials. This work lead to the creation and patenting of circuit protection devices used in virtually every lithium ion cell in the world and culminated in projects that have generated over a billion dollars in revenue.

Before coming to Gener8, Dan held senior executive roles at Fairchild Semiconductor, Tyco Electronics, and TE Connectivity where he variously managed international new product development teams for electronic interconnect, high performance wire and cable, connectors, sealing and thermal interface technologies. He has also taken a turn at running marketing, quality, operational excellence organizations. At Gener8, he is back to his “old tricks” of building and maintaining a first-rate engineering community.

Dan earned his Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and has a B.S. in Polymer Engineering. He has two, very artistic daughters. He is a native-born Californian but spent much of his youth in a small town on the Gulf Coast.
