John Lamb

Lead Software Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems

John Lamb has a diverse work experience starting from 2013. John began as an IT Director at Randstad Technologies US, providing agile process analysis for cost-saving measures to Travelers Insurance. In 2014, they became an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University, teaching Project Management and Foundations of Object-Oriented Algorithms at the graduate level.

In 2016, Lamb took on the role of Program Manager at BANC3, Inc., where they developed data export capabilities for the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. John also served as a Group Commander in the Civil Air Patrol, representing the wing commander in the group and exercising command over all units.

From 2017 to 2020, Lamb worked as the Principal Software Engineer at WR Systems Ltd., providing software engineering support for the development of the WSN-12 shipboard navigation system. John then became the President and owner of Lambda Technologies, LLC, where they directed the development and maintained the vision and goals of video game products.

Most recently, Lamb worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer and at General Dynamics Mission Systems as a Lead Software Engineer. John is currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Aerospace Education at the Civil Air Patrol in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

John Lamb holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Villanova University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. John also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Villanova University from 1988 to 1992. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Texas A&M University from 1986 to 1988, where they focused on Computer Science. For their secondary education, John Lamb graduated from Council Rock High School with a Diploma in College Prep in 1986. Additionally, they have a certificate in DoD 5000 from DAU - Defense Acquisition University. In terms of certifications, John Lamb has obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in September 2020. John also holds various certifications from FEMA, including FEMA ICS 100, FEMA ICS-200, FEMA ICS-300, FEMA ICS-400, FEMA ICS-700, and FEMA ICS-800. Furthermore, they have certifications in DoD-5000 and Systems Engineering from Defense Acquisition University.
