Terry Akiyama

Terry Akiyama is a seasoned professional in the mortgage industry, currently serving as Senior Mortgage Loan Officer and VP of Business Development and Social Media Marketing at General Mortgage Capital Corporation since December 2012. Expertise includes residential and commercial real estate refinance and purchase mortgage planning, along with marketing and coaching of new agents. Akiyama also oversees corporate social media marketing, business development, recruitment, website redesign, and lead generation technology implementation. In addition, Akiyama has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California since 2007 and previously held the position of District Manager at BayCal Financial from 2001 to December 2012, where responsibilities included originating various types of loans and training personnel.
