Emily Barrett-Wong

Emily Barrett-Wong is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in talent acquisition and people strategy across diverse industries. Currently serving as HR Director for Software at General Motors since September 2023, Emily previously held key positions at Cruise, where leadership roles included Director of People Strategy and Director of Recruiting Operations from March 2019 to September 2023. Prior to that, Emily was the Global Head of Recruiting Operations at BlackRock from April 2013 to February 2019 and had significant roles at Goldman Sachs, Imprint Plc, and Kinki Nippon Tourist Co., Ltd. Emily's career began as an Assistant Language Teacher with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me). Emily holds a BA in Japanese from Auckland University of Technology.
