Faryl Ury

Faryl Ury is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Head of Corporate Affairs and Executive Director of Global Communications at General Motors since September 2023. Ury previously held the role of Director of Communications for Reality Labs at Meta, managing a team responsible for corporate, product, and policy communications. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Communications at Aurora, where Ury shaped the narrative of the self-driving industry and managed high-profile communications during the company's IPO. At Dropbox, Ury headed marketing for Dropbox Paper, transforming the company's image into a SaaS leader. Other notable roles include corporate and crisis communications at Uber, communications lead at Square during its IPO, press secretary for U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, and reporter at the Associated Press and NPR. Ury holds a BA with honors from Harvard University, a Master's in Journalism from Northwestern University, and additional training from General Assembly.
