Kathleen Brandes

Kathleen Brandes is a skilled technology professional with a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles within the robotics and AI sectors. Currently a member of the technical staff at Generalist AI since March 2025, Kathleen previously co-founded Adagy Robotics and served as Chief Technology Officer from December 2023 to January 2025. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer on the Autopilot motion planning team at Tesla from March 2022 to December 2023, and as a Software Engineer in motion planning at Optimus Ride from October 2021 to February 2022. Kathleen's career began at Boston Dynamics, where a software engineering role was held from August 2019 to October 2021. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology obtained in 2019 and a high school diploma from Ravenscroft High School in 2015.
