Daniel Moonan

Daniel Moonan is a Senior Scientist at JURA Bio, Inc. since January 2024 and has concurrently held a position as a Senior Scientist at Generate:Biomedicines since July 2020. At Generate:Biomedicines, Daniel Moonan specializes in protein engineering, focusing on developing tools for evaluating machine learning hypotheses related to protein folding and binding. Previously, Daniel Moonan contributed to synthetic biology at Senda Biosciences and provided statistical consulting for machine learning models at Yale University. Co-founding Briomics, Daniel Moonan worked on translating soil microbiome sequencing into actionable agricultural insights. Educationally, Daniel Moonan holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a focus on Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
