Lina Chen

Lina Chen is an experienced data engineer with a diverse background. Lina most recently worked as the Associate Director of Data Engineering at Generate:Biomedicines, where they started in October 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Data Engineer at EQRx from June 2021 to September 2023. From November 2017 to June 2021, Lina worked in data engineering at MGH & BWH Center for Clinical Data Science. Lina also held positions at GQ Life Sciences as a Lead Data Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, at HP Vertica as a Senior Software Engineer, and at Affectiva as a Contractor and Data Analyst. Additionally, Lina has volunteered in market research at the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association and as a pension assistant at the HR Department of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Lina has also worked as a consultant at the Clay Mathematics Institute. Lina started their career as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from September 2008 to September 2011.

Lina Chen has a strong educational background in Chemistry. Lina obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University in 2001. Lina then pursued higher education and earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Boston University in 2008. Later, they completed a Post-Doc at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2008 to 2011.
