Andrew Marino

Andrew Marino is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Corporate Private Equity at Generate Capital. Prior to joining Generate, Andrew was a Partner at the Carlyle Group, based in Washington, DC, where he worked since 2004. During his time at Carlyle, Andrew held several leadership roles including Co-Head of the Carlyle Global Infrastructure Fund, Chief Operating Officer of Carlyle’s Energy and Natural Resources Sector and Managing Director in Carlyle’s US Buyout team. He was also a member of several Carlyle fund investment committees and Carlyle Group portfolio company boards. Prior to joining Carlyle, Andrew worked at Morgan Stanley where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and restructuring assignments in the US and Europe. For several years prior to business school, Andrew lived and worked in Hong Kong and China, identifying private equity investments in China and Southeast Asia. Andrew is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Andrew is on the Board of Trustees of St. Albans School and on the Board of Advisors for The Center for Social Impact at Dartmouth College. He lives in Chevy Chase, MD with his wife and four boys. Andrew enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and saber fencing.
