Selina Armstrong
Chief Program Development Specialist
Selina is a trauma informed practitioner that has over 20 years experience working with children and families in the areas of education, international development and advocacy. Her most recent work focused on developing programs to increase protective factors that promote resilience in children affected by domestic violence. Selina, a recent transplant to the St. Louis area from Atlanta, is a mom of a 5 yr old daughter, a bonus mom to a 14 year old son and the spouse of a law enforcement officer.
She will be working with GENM to bring you a new weekly segment, "That Friday Feeling: Parenting Pep Talks" which can be accessed via facebook live every Friday at 10:30am CST. Additionally, Selina will be providing written content for GENM as she continues to explore and process the intersectionality of being a Black woman in America and a Police Chief's wife, during a time when tensions between police and citizens have led to ongoing civil unrest throughout the country.
