Kelly Fitzpatrick

Kelly brings 16 years of experience working as a general education and special education teacher, interventionist, and school administrator. She spent the last five years as principal of a small, progressively-minded Department of Education elementary school in the Bronx. Kelly believes in a systems approach to change. She strives to embed social and emotional support and a commitment to equity into the fabric of the work she does with communities. Kelly holds master’s degrees in special education from Mercy College and school leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.

She is formally trained in Reading Recovery from the NYU Steinhardt School of Education.
