Nick Dobbertin has a strong background in finance and accounting. Nick started their career as an Audit Senior/Assistant at The Bonadio Group in 2005 and worked their way up to become an Audit Manager in 2011. In 2014, they joined Genesee Regional Bank as an Assistant VP, Treasury Manager, where they were responsible for asset/liability management, financial planning and analysis, and accounting for complex transactions. Nick then progressed to roles of increasing responsibility, including VP, Director of Finance and Senior VP, Chief Financial Officer, before assuming their current position as Executive VP, Chief Financial Officer in 2023, where they lead a team and oversees various financial functions such as budgeting, reporting, and treasury management.
Nick Dobbertin received their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame in the years 2001-2005. Prior to that, they attended The Aquinas Institute of Rochester from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their education, they have obtained several certifications including a Graduate School of Banking Diploma from ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2016, a Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School in 2016, membership in the Financial Managers Society in 2015, membership in AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) in 2011, and certification as a Certified Public Accountant by the New York State Education Department in 2009.
