Diogo Serrano

Diogo Serrano has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Diogo currently works at Genesis Cloud as a GPS Team Lead, where they lead the Genesis Platform Services team. Prior to this, they held the position of Staff Software Engineer II at Genesis Cloud. Their responsibilities in these roles include utilizing JavaScript (React), Node.js, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins, Jira, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, RabbitMQ, and Kafka to provide hardware-accelerated cloud computing services for machine learning, visual effects rendering, big data analytics, storage, and cognitive computing.

Before joining Genesis Cloud, Diogo worked as a Software Engineer at Talkdesk, a cloud-based call center software solution company. Their role at Talkdesk involved developing and improving their call center software to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce support costs. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at Maily, where they contributed to the development of a safe platform that allows young kids to send messages to their close ones creatively.

Diogo also has experience as a Solutions Architect as a freelancer, offering their expertise and architectural solutions to various clients. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at SAPO, focusing on the Sapo Videos team and a video streaming web platform. At the Faculty of Sciences University of Lisbon, they were part of the LaSIGE research unit at the Large-Scale Informatics Systems Laboratory.
