Theophilus Okwugwuni

Theophilus Okwugwuni has a comprehensive work experience in software engineering and development. Theophilus currently works at Genesis Cloud as a Software Engineer. Prior to this, they co-founded Clevadev where they developed modern and scalable mobile and web applications for clients worldwide. Theophilus also led a team of developers, designers, and product managers in an agile environment. In their role at EukaPay, they collaborated with a team of engineers to write clean and maintainable code for the web application. Theophilus led the development of features such as a template for selling event tickets and accepting donations using cryptocurrency, as well as a subscription feature for recurring payments. At LexTego, they contributed to the development of an open-source solution for detecting fraudulent financial transactions. Theophilus implemented Shift-left testing to improve code quality and utilized various technologies such as NodeJs, Koa, Graph Database, Jest, and Jenkins. In addition, they worked as a Full Stack Developer on Fiverr, delivering numerous applications to clients worldwide and achieving a level 2 seller status. Theophilus completed over 80 development gigs using languages such as Javascript, NodeJs, and Flutter.

Theophilus Okwugwuni obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria. Theophilus attended this institution from 2014 to 2019. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Bath, attending from 2023 to 2025.

In terms of additional certifications, Theophilus obtained a Cloud DevOps Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity in July 2022. Theophilus also obtained an Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google in April 2023.
