Derek Donnelly

Derek Donnelly has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in web engineering and development. Derek currently serves as the Senior Director of Web Engineering at Genesis Global, where they play a principal web architect and VP-level web tech lead role in a hyper-growth fintech scale-up. Derek previously held the role of VP of Web Engineering at the same company before an internal restructuring. Prior to their current position, they worked at Standard Chartered Bank in several contracts, including London UI Team Lead Developer and Senior Frontend Developer, and at Codex9 as the Founder, providing digital consultancy services to clients. Derek also had roles at Credit Suisse, YouView, International Academy of Computer Training, and iPLANiT.

Derek Donnelly has a diverse education history. Derek obtained a Leaving Certificate from Newpark Comprehensive in 2000, focusing on Engineering, Technical Graphics, Art, and mandatory subjects. Derek then pursued web development by completing the Webmaster Professional Level 1 and Level 2 programs at IACT International Academy of Computer Training in 1999 and 2002 respectively.
