Christina Murphy

Christina Murphy is the current Vice President of Human Resources at Genesis Research. Prior to their current position, Christina served as the Deputy Chief of Human Resources at NJ TRANSIT, the third largest transit system in the United States. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition, Candidate Experience, and HR Technology teams. Christina was also a senior business partner for Surface Transit and Bus Operations, overseeing a department of over 90 employees and contractors. Additionally, they were responsible for HR strategy, data analytics, technology project implementation and integration, operations, and business partnership supporting over 11,000 union and non-union employees.

Before their time at NJ TRANSIT, Christina was the Head of People at IntraCares, a start-up health center in the greater NY region. In this role, they were responsible for all Human Resources and Business Development activities, including talent acquisition, employee relations, on-boarding, benefits, talent management, performance management, learning, compensation, compliance, new employer contracts, and operations. Christina oversaw one HR business partner and HR vendor contract and reported directly to the CEO.

Christina Murphy has an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from Fordham University, an M.S. in Human Resource Education from Fordham University, and a B.A. in American Studies from Hofstra University. Christina is also certified as a ScrumMaster by the Scrum Alliance, as a Crucial Conversations Graduate by VitalSmarts, as a FIRO-B by CPP, Inc., and as an MBTI by CPP, Inc. Christina is also certified as a PHR by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
