Darrin Benjumea

Director, Evidence Strategy at Genesis Research

Darrin Benjumea is a seasoned professional in the field of epidemiology and health economics, currently serving as the Director of Evidence Strategy at Genesis Research since February 2018, where previous roles include Associate Director and Senior Manager. Darrin's experience includes a research internship at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, contributing to a time-motion study on HIV/AIDS diagnosis in Zimbabwe. As a Teaching Assistant in France, Darrin taught English to over 250 high school students and contributed to cancer research fundraising as Co-Director of Relay For Life at UNC. Darrin began academic pursuits with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
