Lead Pipe Stress Engineer at Genesis

Paul Tio has extensive work experience in the field of piping engineering. Paul has held senior roles in various companies, including Parsons Corporation, Wood Group Mustang, Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants, Foster Wheeler, Roberts Technical Services, Eichleay Engineers, ConneXsys Engineering, Inc., WRMS, and CDC.

At Parsons Corporation, Paul worked as a Senior Piping Engineer starting in 2018. Prior to that, they held a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer position at Wood Group Mustang from 2012. During their time at Wood Group Mustang, they were involved in the design and analysis of high-pressure and high-temperature piping projects, including those for Ergon refinery CDU and HPU Revamp in Mississippi and the Samsung Heavy Industry Ichthyx CPF project off the coast of Australia. Paul also conducted vibration analysis, provided guidance to piping designers, and performed verification of vessel and exchange nozzle using specialized software.

Paul also worked as a Lead Pipe Stress Engineer at Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants from 2013, where they were responsible for the design and analysis of FPSO piping for Hyundai Heavy Industry Aasta Hansteen project off the coast of Norway.

Additionally, Paul served as a Senior Piping Engineer at Foster Wheeler from 2012, where they designed high-temperature piping for CHS Refinery Crude Unit revamp and reviewed other engineers' designs. Paul also generated line lists for the Petrobras Maranho Refinery project.

Before this, Paul held various positions at Roberts Technical Services and Eichleay Engineers as a Piping Engineer. Paul also worked as a Project Engineer at ConneXsys Engineering, Inc.

Paul's career began at WRMS in 2000, where they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Paul was responsible for preparing mass and heat balances, conceptualizing main systems, and selecting main equipment for steam and cooling water systems.

Paul also has experience as a Vessel Engineer at CDC, where they modified vessel internals, conducted hydraulic system simulations, and handled purchasing document evaluations.

Overall, Paul Tio has a diverse background in piping engineering, specializing in design, analysis, stress testing, and project management.

Paul Tio received a B.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 1971 to 1974.
