Yosef Kirschner

Yosef Kirschner is the current Engineering Manager at Genetesis. Yosef has also worked as a Design Engineer at Kaleidoscope from August 2017 to May 2018 and as an Engineering Intern at Life Spine from May 2016 to August 2016.

Yosef Kirschner began their career as an Endoscopy Engineering Co-op at Boston Scientific from August 2015 to January 2016. During their time there, they led a value improvement project that involved the re-design of a critical production machine. Yosef also performed an extensive study to improve product scrap rates. Using SolidWorks and 3-D printing, they designed testing and production fixtures. Yosef also designed test-methods, performed high-level validation testing, and participated in a complaints investigation. Yosef organized co-op events including a new-hire lunch ‘n learn.

In May 2016, Yosef Kirschner became an Engineering Intern at Life Spine. There, they utilized SolidWorks and Pro-Engineer to design and develop custom spinal implants and instrumentation for use in surgery. Yosef also 3-D printed prototypes to optimize design for functionality and manufacturability. In addition, they participated in verification/validation testing, risk analysis (DFMEA), and design reviews. Yosef partnered with surgeons and manufacturers to quote and produce designs. Yosef also participated in cadaver studies to evaluate spinal implant design safety and efficacy.

Finally, Yosef Kirschner worked as a Design Engineer at Kaleidoscope from August 2017 to May 2018.

Yosef Kirschner received their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati - College of Engineering and Applied Science. Yosef also received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati - College of Engineering and Applied Science. Finally, they attended Fasman Yeshiva High School.
