Mijke Zachariasse has had extensive work experience in various roles and positions at different companies. Mijke started their career as a PhD student at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, where they conducted research in the field of climate physics. After completing their PhD, they worked as a Programme Officer at the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter, where they were responsible for developing a national research agenda in the field of nanoscience and technology. Mijke then transitioned to a managerial role as the Managing Director of the Leiden Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Science, Universiteit Leiden, where they were in charge of finance, personnel, and facilities. In 2010, they joined Utrecht University as a Research Policy Advisor and Head of the Research Support Office, where they were responsible for research quality assurance and valorization activities. In 2019, they became a Member of the Board of Directors at Genmab A/S, a biotechnology company. Mijke'smost recent position at Genmab was as Vice President and Head of Antibody Research Materials, where they led the department responsible for delivering high-quality materials for discovery projects. In addition to their professional experience, Mijke also worked as a Spinning instructor at Sportcity.
Mijke Zachariasse received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Physics from Utrecht University, where they pursued their studies from 1991 to 1997.
