Harry Yim has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Harry began their career at Invitrogen Corp. in 1998, where they served as an R&D Manager for eight years. In 2007, they joined Teknova as a Regional Manager and later that year, they also started working at Genomatica. At Genomatica, Harry has held various leadership positions, including Associate Director of Molecular Biology, Director of Strain Engineering, Senior Director of Strain Engineering, and most recently, Senior Director of Cell Factory Design and Engineering. In September 2021, they were promoted to Vice President of Cell Factory Design and Engineering.
Harry Yim obtained a B.A. in Microbiology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1984. Harry then pursued an M.A. in Biology at California State University, Fullerton from 1986 to 1988. Finally, they completed their education with a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis from 1988 to 1993.
