Clare Kennedy

Clare Kennedy is a Clinical Bioinformatician with extensive experience in bioinformatics and clinical research. Currently employed at Genomics England since March 2023, Clare previously worked at North Bristol NHS Trust in similar roles from September 2019 to March 2023. Clare holds a PhD in Neural Dynamics from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Clinical Bioinformatics Genomics from The University of Manchester. Clare's research during the PhD focused on the physiological stress response and its effects on behavioral changes and memory formation under the supervision of Professor Hans Reul. Additionally, Clare served as a tutor for The Brilliant Club and as treasurer of the Biomedical Science Society at NUI Galway, where responsibilities included financial management. Prior experience includes a role as a research assistant for a clinical study funded by the Wellcome Trust, contributing to pain management research.
