Priya Saikumar Lakshmi

Priya Saikumar Lakshmi is a scientist in the Discovery Research group at GentiBio working on type 1 diabetes. Priya has a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Massachusetts Medical school where she primarily worked on immune responses to EBV infections in pediatric lymphomas. Her focus was on RNAsequencing tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and characterizing T cell immunophenotypes. She also developed a humanized mouse model for patient-derived xenografts in B-cell lymphomas. Priya’s prior experience, as a biological scientist, in the Todd Brusko lab includes culturing Tregs, lentiviral transduction, and other functional T cell assays. Priya earned her Master of Science, with a focus on Biotechnology from the University of Central Florida.
