Travis Heeney

Travis Heeney has significant work experience in various leadership roles. Travis most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at genU since April 2023. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at GOTAFE from June 2018 to April 2023. Travis also held positions such as Director of Business Transformation at both Macedon Ranges Shire Council and Central Goldfields Shire Council in 2018 and 2017 respectively. Travis has also served as the Chief Executive Officer on a contract basis at the Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre in 2017. Earlier in their career, Travis held senior positions at Mitchell Shire Council, Whitehorse City Council, Hume City Council, St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, and Villa Maria. Travis Heeney holds a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Social Work, which they obtained from RMIT University between 1995 and 1998. In 2016, they completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2022, they attended the Harvard Business School, focusing on Strategy Execution.
