Kevin Andrews

Principal Design Engineer at GenXComm

Kevin Andrews has worked in the field of engineering since 1988. Kevin's first role was as a Senior Engineer at Motorola, where they were responsible for automotive engine control development, from concept to custom ASIC of anti-knock spark control and misfire detection. Kevin then moved to Motorola SPS in 1999, where they worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer. In 2004, they joined Freescale Semiconductor as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff, where they designed real-time embedded firmware and worked in all phases of mixed-signal hardware design. In 2009, they joined Fujitsu Microelectronics of America as a Senior Staff Engineer/Embedd Firmware and Hardware, where they were responsible for mixed signal SOC design for 2G/3G/4G-LTE wireless. In 2013, they joined Intel Corporation as an Embedded RF Sub-system architecture and Embedded Software Manager, where they managed a team of 12 and developed embedded firmware using ARM7, Cortex-M3 and Tensilica cores. Kevin currently works as a Principal Design Engineer at GXC, a role they have held since 2018.

Kevin Andrews obtained a BSEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Kevin then obtained a Certificate in Deep Learning AI from Stanford University's Deep Learning Certificate Program. Finally, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Fluid Power from Gateway Technical College. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Deep Learning AI from Coursera in December 2017.
