Hervé Brelay has over 25 years of experience in software engineering. Hervé began their career in 1992 as an Engineer at Matra Communication, where they worked on firmware for a real-time MPEG2 video encoder. From 1995 to 2001, they worked at C-Cube Microsystems, where they held various roles such as Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, and Software Manager. During their time at C-Cube Microsystems, they worked on MPEG decoding, video post-processing, DV to MPEG transcoding, low-delay codec firmware, and MPEG-2 real-time encoder. From 2001 to 2007, they worked at LSI Corporation, where they held roles such as Director and Senior Software Manager. During their time at LSI Corporation, they were responsible for Codec Firmware development, turn-key software design, and custom security solutions for European Pay-TV gateways. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at Digital Keystone and Zenverge, where they held roles such as Director of Engineering and Senior Director of Applications. Finally, from 2014 to present, they have been the Vice President of Software Engineering at GEO Semiconductor, Inc., where they are responsible for ISP algorithms, Image Quality, and the full software stack.
Hervé Brelay obtained an Ingénieur degree in Images & Sons from Télécom Paris between 1988 and 1991. Hervé also holds a UL certified automotive CFSP from UL Solutions, obtained in October 2019.
