Sergio Tobal

Sergio Tobal has a diverse work experience with a focus on data analysis and engineering. Sergio is currently working as a Data Engineer at Geoblink since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Vocento from September 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Vocento, Sergio was a Big Data Analyst at Dative_ from January 2021 to September 2021. In this role, they developed a dashboard for an ecommerce business to improve reaction time against financial problems and enhanced financial aspects through machine learning solutions.

From March 2019 to February 2020, Sergio worked as a Data Scientist at IKUSI, where they managed Cloudera cluster on Azure and designed data pipelines. Sergio also developed ETLs using Airflow, Python, and Spark and analyzed airports' data to generate visualizations.

Earlier in their career, Sergio worked as a Data Analyst at AlchemyML from November 2018 to March 2019, where they developed a MLaaS system and built time-series models for supply chain management. Sergio also gained experience as a Data Scientist at Cambrian Intelligence, where they worked on data scraping, processing, and visualization for biomedical applications.

Additionally, Sergio has experience as a Teacher of software development at Camptecnologico from September 2014 to September 2016, teaching teenagers logical thinking and game development using Java, Python, and Scratch. Sergio also worked as a Software Programmer at Fennec Games from September 2014 to September 2015.

Sergio's early career includes positions as an Android Developer at Loc8 Code Ltd from March 2013 to May 2013, where they implemented an Android application using GPS and RESTful services, and as an IT systems maintenance employee at El Regato from October 2008 to May 2009.

Sergio Tobal completed their Master's degree in Big data and Data Science at VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, which they attended from 2013 to 2018. Before their Bachelor's degree, Sergio earned an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Centro Formación Somorrostro between 2011 and 2013.
