Maarit Middleton is an Associate Research Professor at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), where extensive experience since October 1999 includes expertise in geodata analysis and geoinformatics. Previously, Maarit held positions as a Senior Scientist and geologist at Caledonia Mining in 1995 and worked as a field assistant. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Science in Technology with a focus on remote sensing from Aalto University (2007-2014) and a Master of Science in Quaternary geology from the University of Oulu (1993-1998), supplemented by studies at the University of Calgary (1998-1999).
