Fehmi Dilmahamod

Fehmi Dilmahamod is a highly skilled oceanographer with extensive experience in research and academia. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel since October 2018, Fehmi previously held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie University from October 2019 to September 2021. Fehmi completed a PhD in Physical Oceanography at the University of Cape Town and Université de Bretagne Occidentale between 2014 and 2018, during which time also served as a Teaching Assistant. Additional teaching experience includes a role at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. An internship at the Mauritius Oceanography Institute in 2012 involved addressing coastal erosion issues, while earlier work at Mauritius Telecom as a Call Services Agent provided experience in customer service. Fehmi's educational background includes a Master of Science in Ocean and Climate Dynamics from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Technology from the University of Mauritius.
