AJ Thurston, PhD, serves as the Chief of Market Research and Principal Research Scientist at the United States Department of Defense since April 2019. AJ also holds positions as an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University and previously at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where AJ taught courses in Industrial-Organizational psychology. Prior experience includes roles as a Product Development Intern at DDI, Graduate Teaching Associate at the University of South Florida, and Consulting Intern at Drasgow Consulting Group. AJ's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology, both from the University of South Florida. Additionally, AJ served in the United States Marine Corps from August 2005 to July 2009.
