Cynthia Lu has a diverse range of work experience. Cynthia has served as an Intern in Trade and Geoeconomic Affairs at The National Bureau of Asian Research since January 2024. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Director of the 52nd National Collegiate Security Conference and as Under-Secretary General of the 51st National Collegiate Security Conference at Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc. Cynthia also held the position of Undergraduate Research Fellow at Laidlaw Foundation starting in May 2023. Cynthia's experience also includes roles such as Director of Logistics and Team Member at Georgetown University Mock Trial, as well as being a Model United Nations Team Member and a Board Member for Conferences Staff at Georgetown International Relations Club. Cynthia has also worked as a Field Organizing Intern and Organizing Fellow for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and as the Wisconsin Coalitions Director and Chapter Lead for High School Democrats of America. Additionally, Cynthia has legislative internship experience with the Wisconsin State Assembly and has served as a Campus Captain and Community Captain for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
Cynthia Lu completed their high school education at Brookfield Central High School from 2018 to 2022, earning a High School Diploma. Cynthia is currently pursuing a degree at Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service, starting in 2022 and expected to graduate in 2026.
