Nakia Melecio

Nakia Melecio is a Senior Research Faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology's Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2), focusing on business outreach and economic development. As the Founder and Director of The MedTech Center of Excellence, Nakia champions the commercialization of biotechnology and medical innovations. In addition, Nakia founded ScaleUp Lab and serves as a Deep Tech Coach, enhancing startup success through mentorship and strategic guidance. Nakia has played a vital role as a Faculty Advisor for the InVenture Prize competition and holds multiple faculty instructor positions within the National Science Foundation and other organizations. Education credentials include a Doctor of Psychology and various degrees from Ashford University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, encompassing fields such as Educational Psychology and Cognitive Science.
