Leanne Burns is an experienced professional in wildlife conservation, particularly focused on bats. Currently serving as the Bat Conservation Program Coordinator for the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies since June 2022, Burns also operates as an Independent Consultant and Biological Consultant/Bat Biologist since July 2018. Prior roles include Bat Conservation Associate at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, where responsibilities have included modeling bat activity, and field research positions examining the impacts of energy development on wildlife. An academic background includes a Master's degree in Wildlife Biology from Clemson University and a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Biology and Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan.
