Jáivon Copeland has extensive work experience in various roles related to human resources and analytics. Jáivon started their career in 2008 as an intern at Goizueta Business School, where they assisted in fundraising activities and analyzed alumni accounts. From 2010 to 2011, Jáivon worked as a Financial Analyst Intern at the U.S. Digital Service at The White House, supporting the Office of Administration and ensuring financial data integrity. Jáivon then joined Emory University as an HR Specialist in 2013 before moving on to Matrix as a Data Analyst in 2014. Jáivon furthered their career as a Human Resources Administrator at Principle Solutions Group in 2015 and as a Nursing Administrator at Emory Healthcare from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, they joined Piedmont Healthcare as a Human Resources Analyst, advising employees on various HR-related issues, and later took on the role of Talent Acquisition Consultant. Currently, Jáivon is the Lead Redistricting Analyst at Georgia House Democratic Caucus, where they contribute their expertise in redistricting analysis.

Jáivon Copeland has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in German Studies from Howard University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2011. In 2009, they briefly attended Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg to study German, Finance, and Marketing. Prior to their higher education, Jáivon attended Redan High School. Jáivon also holds a certification in Kronos Timekeeper from Emory University, although the specific date of completion is unknown.
