Yang Liu

Yang LIU is a dedicated researcher and professional in the field of electrical and electronics engineering, currently pursuing a PhD at the Georgia Institute of Technology. With extensive experience, Yang serves as a Student Member of various organizations, including CIGRE and the IEEE Power & Energy Society, while also contributing as a Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. Previous roles include Senior Engineer at SGCC Shaanxi Electric Power Research Institute and Engineer at Shaanxi Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid Corporation of China. Yang holds multiple degrees, including a PhD and MS from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MS and BS from Xi'an Jiaotong University, supplemented by involvement in standardization with the IEC and the Standards Administration of China. Contributions to the field also include participation as a Reviewer for the IEEE DEIS IEC 2023 Conference and past leadership as Vice-Chair of the CATCON 2017 sub-conference.
