Michael Huggins

Michael Huggins is a seasoned academic and administrator currently serving as a Professor and Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics at Tarleton State University since January 2020. Previously, Michael held various roles at the Department of Chemistry at the University of West Florida from August 2002 to January 2020, including Professor, Dean of the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering, and Department Chair. Michael's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno, a Postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Texas at Austin, and an A.A. and a B.S. in Chemistry from Chipola College and the University of West Florida, respectively, along with management training from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
