David Johnson

AVP, Digital Innovation at Georgian College

David has more than 25 years of management experience in multiple industries and roles within the private and public sectors, including leadership roles in consumer packaged goods (Procter & Gamble, Castrol, and Warner Lambert), architecture and engineering, and software development.

David has been with Georgian in a leadership capacity since 2005, joining as the Director Information Technology. He has also held the role of Chief Information Officer and most recently was Executive Director, Enrolment Management and Information Technology. In that role, he oversaw the departments of the Office of the Registrar and Information Technology, and had a leadership role in the implementation of the Strategic Enrolment Management process at Georgian.

In his current role, David is developing and implementing a multi-year digital innovation plan for the college and supporting the creation of a digital culture throughout the Georgian community. David is also accountable for enrolment planning and management, as well as the Information Technology department.

In addition to earning a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, David is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and holds a Project Management Professional certification.
