Sandy Edwards has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Deputy Director in Counter Terrorism and National Security at the Australian Department of Defence until 2012. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Deputy Director of Military Strategic Futures, also at the Australian Department of Defence. Sandy then joined Synergy Group Australia as a Senior Manager from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they transitioned to the Department of Defence as an Assistant Director in Employer Support and Service Protection until 2021. Sandy then moved to the National Indigenous Australians Agency, where they worked as an Advisor in Organisational Performance and Change until 2022. Sandy also served as an Assistant Director in Strategic Change Projects - Closing the Gap - Disability Unit at the Department of Social Services from 2021 to 2022. In 2022, they worked at EY as a Senior Manager before their most recent role as a Manager of Culture and Engagement at Geoscience Australia since 2023. Throughout their career, Sandy has demonstrated expertise in project management, policy development, and organizational performance.
Sandy Edwards obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of New England (AU) between 2007 and 2010. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained certifications from Prosci. Sandy became a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner in May 2021 and completed the Prosci Integrating Agile and Change Management certification in November 2020.
