Ted Lachinski has over 40 years experience developing innovative geospatial solutions. He founded and served as president and director of GEOSPAN Corporation since its inception in June 1990. Ted is the primary inventor on several geospatial patents including Patent 5,633,946 which is the basis for surveying and mapping from a moving platform.
Ted has managed many major projects including the initial capture of oblique imagery for the initial 16 metro areas for Google, processing the Bing Maps Vexcel oblique imagery for over 400 cities worldwide, and most recently introducing GeoAssist Community a SHARED GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CREATION, CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND DELIVERY OF 3D STRUCTURE MODELS (patent pending). This latest innovation will become the next generation property information system for managing changes to real estate by a community of users through time for local government, insurance carriers, and mortgage lenders.
Prior to founding GEOSPAN, he served as a VP of Technology for UltiMap Corporation and as the Systems and Data Processing Manager for Hennepin County MN where he was chief architect of their advanced property mapping geographic information system know as UltiMap.
