Nicole Gotberg

Nicole Gotberg, PG, is a Principal Geologist at Geosyntec Consultants since July 2007, specializing in expert witness services and litigation support. In public service, Gotberg serves as the Vice Mayor of Placerville and is an elected City Council Member, having been appointed as Vice Mayor in March 2021 and elected to the Council in November 2022. Additionally, Gotberg has held multiple roles including Planning Commissioner, city liaison to various safety councils, and board member positions related to housing and transportation solutions. Educationally, Gotberg holds a Master's Degree in Geosciences from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of California, Davis. Previous experiences also include research and teaching assistant roles, contributing to geological fieldwork and academia.
