Pieter Venter

Pieter is Geotab’s Vice President of Software Development and has been building large scale software solutions for over 20 years. He holds an honors degree in Computer Science as well as a B.Sc. in Information Technology, but his passion for programming goes back to the days of the Commodore 64. He was among the first to join the Geotab family in 2003 and has since assembled a team of 50+ software engineers developing state of the art software, driving the MyGeotab solution. Pieter understands the challenges that building great software poses and is dedicated to finding innovative and creative solutions that ultimately delight our customers. When not engaging with his team or writing code, you might find him practicing piano, tinkering with the latest gadgets or playing hockey.
