Head Of Core Research Facilities And Services at German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE)

Fava Eugenio has a strong background in research and technology development. Fava started their career as a Scientist at the Medical Research Council Toxicology Unit, where they conducted research on neurodegenerative diseases and developed new microscopy-based technologies. Fava then moved on to the Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics, where they served as the Head of Assay Development, leading projects in cell-based assay development for high-content screening applications. Additionally, Eugenio worked as a Project Leader for pharmaceutical industry collaborations at the institute. In 2009, they joined DZNE as the Head of Core Research Facilities and Services, overseeing the establishment of various technology platforms and collaborating with industrial partners. Fava also served as a Group Leader for System Phenomics at DZNE. Throughout their career, Eugenio has demonstrated expertise in technology scouting, personnel management, project management, and algorithm development for image and data analysis.

Fava Eugenio completed a Master's degree in Biology from Università degli Studi della Tuscia, attending from 1986 to 1992. Fava then pursued a Ph.D in Molecular Toxicology at the University of Konstanz from 1997 to 2000.
