Jan Schneider Barnes

Jan Schneider Barnes is a Postdoctoral Researcher at DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education since December 2017, with prior experience as a PhD Student at Open Universiteit from December 2013 to November 2017 and as a Researcher at Hasselt University between January 2008 and December 2013, focusing on Multi-Touch and mobile technologies. Earlier roles include Software Developer at Cimatel in early 2005 and Researcher at ITESM CCM within the same timeframe, involved in call center development and the creation of an electronic ballot box, respectively. Jan Schneider Barnes holds a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning from Open Universiteit (2013-2017), a Master of Science in Information Technology from Jönköping University (2005-2007), and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey (1999-2004).
