Julian Haas is a Project Manager and Researcher at Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam - German Research Centre GFZ since January 2020, contributing to the development of a high-performance rapid inundation model for flood impact assessment in the RIM2D project. Julian has also been involved in the DLR-funded project "QuantGRAV," focusing on quantum gravimetry concepts for future satellite missions in continental hydrology. Additionally, Julian works on the Global Gravity-based Groundwater Product (G3P) project at GFZ Potsdam. Julian earned a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Freiburg, where studies were completed from 2010 to 2018, following a Diploma in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from the same institution from 2003 to 2010.
