Chris Dwan has extensive work experience in software development, project management, and leadership roles. Chris started their career as a freelancer, building custom websites for small businesses. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a project manager at Atimi Software, where they successfully turned around a project and led a team of software testers. In 2006, they started their own web development company, Christopher Dwan Web Development, where they built websites using various technologies.
In 2011, Chris joined Foodtree as a developer, where they worked on website planning, RESTful API development, and Ruby on Rails websites. Chris then joined Partnerpedia as a Ruby Developer, where they quickly took on a leadership role in solving challenging technical problems. In 2012, Chris briefly served as the CTO of ChantUp, leading innovative mobile site development. Later that year, they joined ZOZI as an engineering manager, establishing a culture of excellence and recruiting a strong team.
In 2018, Chris was hired as a Lead Software Developer at Urbandoor, where they led the Canadian team and played a crucial role in key customer acquisition and onboarding. Chris also advised on Agile methodologies, solved technical challenges, and improved collaboration and code review processes. In 2020, they joined Chime as a Senior Software Engineer.
Currently, Chris is working as a Lead Software Developer at DX, where they continue to contribute their expertise and skills as a software developer.
Chris Dwan studied at the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1996 to 1998, earning a degree in Computers (CST). Additionally, in July 2016, Chris obtained an advanced certification in French fluency from Duolingo.
