Shahid Hanif

Shahid Hanif is the founder of Avenzoar Consulting Ltd, offering consulting services to various stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector since November 2019. As a co-founder of the Science Policy Think Tank since October 2020, Shahid facilitates discussions on science policy to foster innovation for patient benefit. Additionally, Shahid serves as an affiliate member at the Usher Institute of the University of Edinburgh and is the managing director of the GetReal Institute, established to promote the use of real-world evidence in healthcare decision-making in Europe. Previous roles include consultant for the EFPIA on health data and evidence generation, interim chief operating officer for the BREATHE research hub, and head of health data and outcomes at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. Shahid's career began at GlaxoSmithKline after earning a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and an M.Sc. in Information & Technology from the University of Glasgow.
