Alex Quintero

Alex Quintero is the current Director of Data Science at Rev. Prior to this, they were Sr Data Scientist and then Data Science Manager at Rev from April 2015 to May 2021. Before that, they worked as a Staff Research Associate at Scripps Institution of Oceanography from August 2009 to April 2015, where they oversaw large-scale data processing operations, collected and analyzed hydrographic and meteorological sensor data on worldwide oceanographic expeditions, and administered a ship-wide website and database. Alex also worked as a Quantitative Researcher/Assistant Trader at Privero Capital Management, LLC from October 2007 to August 2009, and as a Theoretical Astrophysics Research Assistant at Steward Observatory, U of Arizona from July 2006 to August 2007.

Alex Quintero has a Master's Degree in Data Science and Engineering from UC San Diego, a B. A. with Honors in Physics from New York University, and certifications from Section4 in Certified Innovation Strategist and Prof G Certified Strategist.
