Karina Stickle has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 as a Recreation Assistant for Providence Care. In 2009 they took on the role of Project Lead for Katimavik, followed by a role as Activity Aide for Gibson Family Health Care in 2011. In 2019 they began working as a Lifestyle Manager for Signature Retirement Living, and in 2021 they began freelancing as a Dementia Care Program and Calendar Creator for the Engaged In Rec Podcast. Most recently, they accepted a role as Community Program Manager for GetSetUp in 2022.

Karina Stickle has an extensive education history. Karina attended St. Lawrence College from 2006 to 2008 and obtained a degree in Social Service Worker. From 2010 to 2011, they attended Loyalist College and obtained a degree in Activation Techniques in Gerontology Studies. Karina then attended Canadore College from 2015 to 2017 and obtained a degree in Recreation Therapy. Karina also obtained a Certificate in Integrated Mental Health from Gale College in 2019. In addition, they have taken several courses from the Alzheimer's Society, Dementiability, and Kingston Frontenac Public Health, including Gentle Persuasive Approach, U-First, Montessori Methods for Dementia, and Safe Food Handling.
